Default Full Tyria Solo Tour - Mesmer Way

Hey Folks!
After my old Mesmer Build got nerfed I decided to do set myself a new challenge. Inspired by Witte's Full Tyria Solo Tour and his Screenshot Thread of the Ranger Version I decided to work on a Full Tyria Solo Tour for my Mesmer. And here it is! I've been able to solo the following regions in Tyria:

The Crystal Desert
Southern Shiverpeaks
The Ring of Fire Islands
The Underworld
The Fissure of Woe

Ok before the flames will start:
I know this Guide is nothing compared to Witte's Tour and I'm not stealing his ideas in any way. I've asked him for his permission and he was glad about my idea. Also I have ignored the Hard Mode because finding Solo Builds with my Mesmer was hard enough in Normal Mode. And the last thing: I know that most of this builds aren't worth it compared to the time/loot comparison, but I hope that there are still some guys who prefer a real challenge from mainstream farming.

It all starts in the:

Crystal Desert:
Prophet's Path
Skyward Reach
The Scar
Diviner's Ascent
Vulture Drifts
The Arid Sea

Prophet's Path

Me/Rt

Attributes:

Domination 7 + 3 + 1

Armor:

Template Code:
OQhlAUBmQOkh5QwimognQSQEoBKB

You've got to be carful here. Lure a Devourer, use Physical Resistance and cast the Ashes of Tsungrai. Kill them with Empathy and try to avoid interrupts.

The Scarabs are harder. Use the Resistance and the Ashes and keep up your life with Ether Feast, Soothing Memories and recasting Generous was Tsungrai. Kill them with Empathy and keep your Energy up with Energy Drain.
There are some groups with more than 4 scarabs. Skip them with Illusion of Haste and don't run close to them or they'll strip it.

Minotaurs are quite easy. Use the Resistance and your Healing spells to keep your life up. Kill them with Empathy and use Energy Drain as often as you can. If they are more than 2 use Sympathic Visage to avoid Damage from their adrenaline Skills.

Then take the Portal and kill everything (except of the hydras) on your way to Augury Rock.

Template Code:

Cast your Enchantments and lure 3-4 Hydras. Always keep up Shield of Regeneration and Mantra of Flame and kill them with Empathy. Use Ether Feast if it's needed.

When fighting against Enchanted try to find a wall to avoid the bow attacks and getting dazed.
If you get dazed use Mantra of Resolve and Mend Ailment.

Cast the 2 Enchantments and use Shield of Regeneration and Mantra of Earh when fighting against the Sand Drakes. Kill them with Empathy

When fighting against Devourers use Mantra of Resolve and keep Shield of Regeneration up.

You have to kill the Hydras with the same tactic i gave you above.

Kill the Burrowers with Vengeful Weapon and Empathy. Make sure to interrupt their healing springs with a wand.

You should already now how to beat the Jade Scarabs

The Rock Scarabs are stupid frenzy noobs. Just kill them with Empathy.

The Griffons are harder. Lure them in small groups and keep up your life and energy. Kill them with Empathy.

When fighting against the gnashers use Mantra of Frost and Armor of Earh. Use Empathy and Sliver Armor to kill them. Make sure to get rid of the Minions first or the Gnasher's will heal themselves.

Mountain Trolls are very easy. Use the Signet of Midnight+Epidemic+Spirit of Failure Combo, Armor of Earth for the defense and Empathy+Sliver Armor to kill them.

You can also kill the Golems by using Armor of Earth and Mantra of Frost as defense. Use Empathy and Sliver Armor to kill them. Don't be frightened of bigger Groups, the screen shows that you can tank a lot of them.

The Grawls are quite easy. Blind the melee mobs and use Elemental Resistance against the caster. Keep up your Energy with Spirit of Failure and Spam Healing Signet and Ether Feast to keep alive. Use Empathy to kill them.

If Azure pop up cast Spirit of Failure on one and wait until at least one is next to you. Then use Dolyak Signet to be sure from knockdown and blind them all. Cast Empathy on an Azure and recast Signet of Midnight+Epidemic this time without Dolyak. The next time you reblind them use Dolyak Signet, you'll need it every 2nd cast of Signet of Midnight+Epidemic. Spam Healing Signet and Ether Feast to stay alive.

The Ice Imps aren't very hard if you watch out for their maelstroms. Keep up Shield of Regeneration and Mantra of Frost and you should be fine. Backfire and Empathy should kill them quite fast.

Ice Golems are easier than the imps. Keep up Shield of Regeneration and Mantra of Frost and everything will be easy.

Lure the Groups to the healer and keep up Shield of Regeneration. Kill everything with Empathy and Wastrel's Worry. Try to interrupts the Ranger's Melandrus Arrows with your Web of Disruption.

Then make your way to Alkar.
If you meet any heretics make sure that they brake your Shield of Regeneration and recast it immideantly.

The Bosses require unique strategies. Your Mainskill for Bosses is Wastrel's Worry as it will end 50% faster as normal

Morgriff -Dropp Life Attunement and Essence Bond and use Empathy and spam Wastrel's Worry.

Thorgall - Use Empathy and Wastrel's Worry and interrupt his Healing Signet.

Gargash - Use Empathy and Wastrel's Worry and interrupt his Troll Ugnet.

Gorrel – Dropp all your Enchantments and Spam Wastrel's Worry. Try to interrupt his Ether Feast.

Template Code:

OQZEAmkTmKQ0B64EKaYaSA

This is one of the hardest Parts of this solo Tour. Cast Kinetic Armor and Mantra of Flame and lure 2 or 3 Hydras. Kill them with Empathy and spam Ether Feast.

Ok here's a real challenge for you
When fighting against Flesh Golems NEVER use Kinetic Armor. Physical Resistance will do the job. Always blind them and use Ether Feast if it's necessary.
Cast Empathy on one and use Drain Enchantment just before the last hit that will kill them to remove the Deathnova. Then cast Empathy on the first Minion and remove Deathnova before it dies. Wait until the 2nd dies out of his degeneration and also remove the Nova. Then concentrate on the next Golem. Important: Watch out for your Energy as you don't have Spirit of Failure in the build.

Phantoms are relaxing. Switch to your Higher Energy Set and let it interrupt 2 of your Spells. Then kill it with Empathy.

Dryders are also easy. Just keep your Health UNDER 50% and they won't use their Shadow Strike.
Then just use Ether Feast and kill them with Empathy.

I have been able to kill the drakes with Frigid Armor instead of Physical Resistance but without the Stance the Flesh Golems are a pain. So if you want to kill drakes take Frigid Armor with you and skill a few Points into Water Magic.

Use the Mantra and wait until your energy is full again. Then place the 2 Spirits and cast Spirit of Failure on an Aatxe. Watch out that they attack you and not the ghosts.

Then kill them by blinding them. The 2 Spirits will charm the attacks who will ignore blindness.
Use Empathy to kill the Aatxes.

Template Code:

OQNEMRsv26ECur+DRgHMJUCkH

Cast Balth. Spirit on you and get the quest from the ghost.
Then lure one group of Graspings with illusion of haste as you might/should have already done with other Builds.
Use the Stance and SV/AV to drain their energy.
If you're only fighting against 3 Graspings Vig. Spirit should be enough to keep your life up.
If not cast the Shield to get 0 dmg for a few secs.

Then run to the Smites....
Be careful with dying nightmares.
Illusion of Haste can be really frustrating if they strip it.

Smites are harder...
Use the stance cast IW, Vig. Spirit and SV and lure them. Always use the Shield when it'S available and try to attack as much as you can to keep up your health. I recommand casting while the shield is up.
Groups of 3 and 4 are easy to kill.
When fighting against 5 your life might get down to 200-100hp but don't give up.
After the first one dies your health will constantly rise up again.

Template Code:

OqplAgC2Qqer5oe1APBxr+FFkEQ3

Run away from the right group (watch out that Rastigan isn't in your aggro bubble when you aggro them). Then take your Way to the Tower.

Use Physical Resistance and Fleeting Stability and lure a group with your longbow. Spam Boon+Signet and Ether Feast to stay alive. Kill the Abyssal first. Always steal Energy if it's possible. If the Abyssal is down you don't need Stability anymore.

Then concentrate on the Rangers. Just spam your healing skills and kill them with Empathy.
If you're done with the tower move to the beach. Watch out: You need to let one Group of Abyssal and Rangers alive or Rastigan will move to you and die.

The Dryders are easy if you know how to fight them. Don't cast anything on them while you're hexed with shame. Kill them by using Empathy and heal yourself with Ether Feast. If you want to heal with Vital Boon+Signet you've got to be quick or they'll rape Boon.

Driftwoods are also easy. Keep up the stance and Heal if you need. Empathy will kill them quite fast.

Now we come to the hardest part. Lure small groups of Spiders away from the mob and attack one with your sword. If you have body contact with them they won't use Healing Spring as long as they aren't hexed.
You need to time your casts here to avoid being interrupted. Timing and Fast casting and some training make it a bit easier
After you've hexed a spider with empathy it will cast Healing Spring instantly. Interrupt it with your weapon and keep on spamming your health. If you've got interrupted in a dangerous situation or you're about to die then run away.

I'm still working on 2 or 3 builds which will take a few more days. I just didn't want to let you wait to long
If you have any questions PM me ingame.

edit: are the skill tags working for you? They were always working when i made a thread and only saw the preview.....
strange

Just wanted to let you know that under your "Talus Chute" section, the build has the icon for Kinetic Armor, but the mouseover shows Armor of Earth. Your description says Armor of Earth, so hopefully people read the instructions and take the right skill.

Anyway, this looks like it was a lot of hard work. Congratulations on a superb guide. I don't have a mez, but this definitely gives me an incentive to make one.

Nice guide!
I like especially the FoW one, seems like a great challenge! Vital boon + signet of pious light is 1 hell of a healer it seems. Maybe you wanna point out that you don't wanna fight the first group of abyssal+rangers which rastigan will face when he goes to the tower. When you start attacking them, rastigan comes so you wanna keep them alive.

Gotta dust my mesmer off and cap a few more elites now.

1st of all congratz dopefish, King of mesmers xD

gj in proving that mesmers can do tyria solo

at least in my opinion, I think that at least the aataxe only killing build may actualy be good for farming.

Can u tell how long does it take for u to kill em all?

I mean they have double the rate to drop ectos, so if we kill em fast, and as we dont need to do the long smite run, it may actualy be very profitable

ty for the comments
Life Attunement is there because the dwarf will heal you
When using the Me/Rt Build you can tank 3 aatxes at once but 2 are safer ^^
It's quite fast... not as fast as the nekro build but it's not bad for credit as you can also kill the graspings = A lot of Aatxes for you
